Show Rules

Exhibits must be made in the last two years and not previously entered in the Open Class Area of the Lancaster County Fair.

Due care will be exercised in handling each exhibit. The Lancaster County Agricultural Society is not responsible for articles lost, damaged or stolen. Use discretion when entering delicate items.

Only one exhibit may be entered for each Class number.

Sewn garments should be on sturdy, swivel hook type hangers. Skirts, shorts and pants should be hung from the waistband on sturdy, clip type hangers. Please do not use lightweight plastic hangers.

Knitted & crocheted garments, if submitted on hangers as described above, will be displayed on the hangers. If flat display is desired, DO NOT enter these garments on hangers.

Framed pictures must be ready to hang with picture frame wire or hook. Sawtooth hangers are not acceptable unless wire is attached for hanging. Maximum size of pictures, including the frame, should not exceed 24"x36".

Ribbon placing is based on merit. At Judge's discretion, not all ribbons will be awarded if exhibit does not merit a ribbon.

No entries will be released before the specific time. If you are unable to pick up your exhibits at the release time, it is your responsibility to find someone to do so.

Any items remaining after Sunday at 2p.m. will be taken to the Event Center office.

There are two Textiles Divisions, one for Adults (19 & up as of January 1, 2017) and Youth (5-18 as of January 1, 2017).

Premium payouts must be picked up at the Premium Payout Station during release time.

The Best in County Textiles Award winner qualifies to enter into the Nebraska State Fair. The Textile Superintendent will provide the winner with instructions and forms needed to enter the exhibit in the NE State Fair.
